2018 Honda Gold Wing DCT Clutch Initialization
Just changed both tires on my Harley (first time using the Rabaconda). Worked like a charm! I have had some bad experiences with dealerships in the past and this tool has set me free! It helps to leave the tires in the sun for a while to let them get really warm (and more flexible) and to use plenty of grease on assembly.
Fred, great video on one of the most difficult tires to change...WAY better than the video Rabaconca, the maker of this tool, produced.
Great video. Thanks for taking the time and using real time to show the complete tire change.
Great video thank you
I probably met some of these guys at the Hub in Marble Falls, AR. I used to host motorcycle events there for the ST-Owners at the same time the ROMEOs were there in September. We used to have an event at Theodosia too. I was thinking of riding up there a few weeks ago but it started storming. Now it's just too dang hot. Maybe in the fall.
Nice ride. I haven't seen some of those roads since 2012. You were on some of my favorites for sure. I'm in Russellville and just bought a 2024 Goldwing. I just found your channel and it has already been helpful. I would love to meet up sometime and pick your brain about all things Goldwing. Mike
Excellent video, well done. It is a very nice tool. Couple of tips if I may... Be a bit more liberal with the tire lube on the tire during removal and install. For installing that last bead, put some lube on the inside lip of the tire. You can use a paper towel to apply the lube there and it helps that bead slide over the rim. Specially in that final tight zone. Balancing: If you have a yellow dot on the tire... pre balance the rim and mark the heavy spot with tape, it's not always at the valve. Line up the yellow dot with the tape. This minimizes the amount of weight you need and sometimes it's none.
Excellent! Just completed our own Gold Wing trip on Highway 12 (Missoula MT to Lewiston ID) a week ago. It was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Awesome video thank you for the ride❤❤
Nice trip, and nice work on the video Fred! I really need to make myself learn how to do the editing.
Awesomeness! On the greatest of machines too. Nice job Fred.
Love the west ! Awesome sites.
I'm still unable to purchase through Vimeo..I try every day. Dang....I guess I'll have to go with Cruiseman.
That was a better video than the guy who makes them some mods have been done to that model
Is it possible on the rabaconda to use a plastic rim protector to catch the iron on the rim instead of letting it "cling" on your rims?
Yes its possible*
I have been trying to purchase your maintenance videos and have been unable to do so through vimeo although all requested info is correct regarding my credit card. The "purchase" icon does nothing when I click on it. Question: is there another site available to purchase your videos? If not, I'll keep trying as it may be an issue with vimeo that they have yet to resolve.
Better than Rabaconda official videos. Thank you so much!
Great video
Where did the fog lites come from. Who makes them and who sells them ? I like the easy installation of them.
Installed just like the video and fog lights flicker when high beams and fog lights are on! Any advice?
Very nice demonstration. I think I could use it now without reading the instructions.
I am a member of the Eastern Kansas ROMERO Riders. Glade to know you are a fellow ROMEO!
Very Good vidéo thank you
Awesome video and thank you for the tips! Saw some tips that they don’t even have on their own company video of it. That’s amazing considering it was a cold goldwing tire. That’s a really stiff tire! I can only imagine how easy it would be with a warm super sport tire.
Using dish washing detergent after removing the air will help break the bead in hot or cold weather.
Great video, best one good job thanks
I'm in the process of putting Showchrome foglights on - your instructions for the switch button are awesome !!!
Pleasure to watch your video, Thanks
Is the wiring for the switch already there as i didnt see you, connect it to any wiring
Great video!
I just used mine today. It works a treat. I liked doing it so much I did my front tires three times until I got the dot and the arrow all in the proper orientation. Took less than 10g to balance the tire. I also got to super-clean everything in and around the front tire as well as check my brakes. By the time I did the tire the third time is was easy-peasy. Just a little practice will have most anyone doing it quickly. And, it was about 80 today so I set both the wheel with the old tire and the new tire in the driveway for a good hour or more before working with them. I know that helped tons. Another big plus, I didn't have to wait weeks for an appointment to get my tires done. I would then have to drop the bike the night before and get a ride home. Repeat the next day. I'm a "friend" of the local shop and a three-time Goldwing offender so they get me in fairly quickly. Most people wait 4-6 weeks to get in. It also costs about $150 for the service. I will make myself and the Rabaconda available to all my riding friends. I do think the Rabaconda is a bit overpriced, however, it is very well built and works awesome. I guess you get what you pay for.
Great video, thanks .
Thanks for the demo. You don't happen to have a discount code or coupon for the starter kit on the rabaconda website, do you? If you did, please let me know, I'd highly appreciate it. Thanks.
Nice!!
WOW, you demonstrated this better than any Rabaconda video, i just bought this, every detail explained correctly, Well done 👏
Your video should be included in every tire changer they sell, very simple and to the point. That being said l guess l was very fortunate to have bought a BMW R 100/7 in the 1980's from a dealer who showed how to break bead(with center stand) remove tube and repair a flat, and reinstall tire roadside. Does look like a very well made tire machine. Thanks for sharing 😊
Excellent presentation. Well-paced, things thoroughly explained. You should be Rabaconda's spokesperson.
Nice video, you seem to be very knowledgeable about this changer. You are 100% correct Gold Wing Tires are the hardest. On the flip side, the wheels come off the bike super easy! I've been using my No-Mar changer for 15+ years and done hundreds of tires. I have a 21 GW and have changed three set so far, always feel like I'm going to rip the sidewall while its groaning during the change. Thanks for taking the time to post!
Hello, thank you for the very informative video. Where can I order the light kit?
Good video but where did you get the lights? We can't install them if we can't get them.
Great video! Thanks for focusing on details that are not covered in Rabaconda’s instruction videos. They focus too much on trying to make it look easy instead of providing details like you did.
thats great, they should make one for car tires! or do they?
Best demonstration yet i've seen on this tool , and i've watched a bunch . Thanks
What diagnostic scanner is best for the 2018 goldwing?
where is the diagnostic port?
Thank you, I have a Rabaconda and a Goldwing and will save this lesson. Thanks again to all.
Nice. Great teaching skills! Rabaconda should put this guy on their payroll lol
If you put some grease on the inside of the tyre round the bead it allows the last portion of the tyre to slide on alot easier
Your video was a huge help for me in using the Rabaconda for the first time removing a 5 year old tire from the front of my Indian full sized. I used 2 drop center tools rather than wood blocks, however, I'll make some to have handy. I think silicone spray works much better than just the bead grease. Like you I had to use quite a bit of muscle for both removing and installing. All in all a great machine for being portable. I want to say I have your 2018+ maintenance videos and they are priceless!
